summer beauty hacks: 7 tricks for staying cute (even when it’s hot as hell outside)

6.) Tie Hair Up when Damp, then Let It Down for Flawless Air-Drying

I can’t be the only one that this simple trick works for. There is a little finessing involved in getting this just right, but still it’s pretty easy.

My hair can’t be sopping wet, but if it’s mostly dry and just still a little damp on the underside, I tie the top layer up (excluding bangs) in a small half-bun on top of my head for an hour or so. I think this works because it let’s the underside dry faster and adds volume to the top most layer, but I’m no hair expert so don’t listen to me.

Either way, when I let it down later, it’s not too flat & not too frizzy. It’s kind of a rock n’ roll sex hair vibe, but without the heat-styling (your hair will take enough heat if you spend your summer in the sun.) An important thing to remember is to not tie your hair up too tightly, this could result in your hair having a little dent or weird shape when you let it down. Stick with No Crease Ribbon Hair Ties to minimize the effect.
